SORRY. I’m going to use this column to write about a Premier League team. But make no mistake - Burnley will be in the Championship soon enough.
It is five years since the Clarets returned to the land of milk and honey. Five years since Sean Dyche defied the odds - again - to hustle a ragtag squad from an industrial northern town onto millionaires’ row.
Burnley have always felt like squatters. When the money rolled in, they spent it on training facilities, not international superstars.
