LEE Bowyer had just seen his Birmingham players ruthlessly marmalised by Fulham when he accidentally hit the nail on the head.
“You can’t stop the power, the strength, the quality they have,” he lamented. “They’re quality all over the pitch, a different animal to us. We’re a hard-work- ing team and no matter how hard the players tried, they still couldn’t get close to them.”
Admiration was evident in Bowyer’s words, and it would be churlish not to commend a side that had scored 19 goals in three games.
