‘I COULDN’T TURN DOWN THIS CHANCE’

RYAN Lowe insists he didn’t join Preston North End so he could move back to his native North-West.
“A lot of people have said ‘Isn’t it nice to be home?’,” says the 43-year-old, who has spent the previous two-and-a-half years undertaking a weekly 300-mile commute to Plymouth.
“Well, yeah, it is. But I wouldn’t have left Plymouth for that reason. First and foremost, I’m here because I was offered the chance to work for a fantastic club. Being back - that’s just a really nice bonus.”
