Room 101: Steve Elliott (Cheltenham Town)

STEVE ELLIOTT

The Cheltenham Town defender takes us through his pet hates that he wants thrown into the infamous Room 101

BOY BANDS

The whole manufactured Pop Idol scene really annoys me, and it’s a very recent phenomenon – well it’s been about ten years now actually but it’s still not the way it should be done. It’s all of them sort of bands like One Direction and Justin Bieber that get on my nerves. Young girls swoon over them and they’re nothing special really. Their voices are dubbed to make them sound better, it’s not proper music.

The FLP says: There’s only One Direction boy bands are going – into Room 101!

COLD CALLERS Telephone

The accident cold callers are the worst – I had three the other day, it was unbelievable. Luckily I keep my cool and just tell them I haven’t been in an accident, but I can understand how people can lose their temper. And those speech activated systems annoy me – why can’t you just speak to a person? It would be much easier and you could maybe understand what was going on a bit better instead of repeating words over and over again.

The FLP says: Let’s give cold callers the cold shoulder for good, they’re going in as well.

ROADWORKS

They just seem endless, especially on the M5. It just slows everything up. It normally takes me 45 minutes to get to work but we have had these roadworks for about a year and a half now and it’s just really irritating – I’m sure I’m not the only one who is angered by it. Once they have finished one little bit they will move on to the next little section and it just takes me so much longer to get anywhere, just get it over and done with so people can get on with their lives!

The FLP says: No delays here Steve, take the fast lane to a full house. Roadworks are going in as well.
