League One 2016/17 fixtures

The EFL has released the League One fixtures for the 2016/17 season, with fans now able to plan for their away day trips.

It is a 44-day wait until kick-off on Saturday 6 August, where

New managers Phil Parkinson and Chris Wilder will face off at the Macron as promotion hopefuls Bolton and Sheffield United go head-to-head at the Macron.

Play-off outsiders last season Rochdale and Peterborough open their accounts at Spotland in what will be Grant McCann‘s first game in charge of Posh.

League Two champions Northampton start 2016/17 by welcoming Fleetwood Town to Sixfields, with new boss Rob Page set to return to old club Port Vale on 10 December after an acrimonious exit from the Valiants.

Darrell Clarke holds the possibility of a fifth promotion in six seasons as a manager, Bristol Rovers have retained the vast majority of their first-team by completing swift contract renewals and they travel to Lincolnshire to take on Scunthorpe United.

Elsewhere in League One, new boys AFC Wimbledon travel to Walsall, Charlton seek a good start to Russell Slade’s reign at Bury, Oxford United host Chesterfield at the Kassam Stadium, and MK Dons head west to take on a Shrewsbury team embedded with new signings.
