Adam Webster joins Ipswich with Matt Clarke going the other way

side  have agreed a deal to sign Adam Webster from .

Webster came through the youth ranks at  and has been with the south coast club since the age of 12.

The 21-year-old has 35 times for the south coast club this season and played in Portsmouth”s tie against in January.

The deal will involve Ipswich’s Matt Clarke making a permanent move in the opposite direction.

Clarke spent this season at Fratton Park where he became a regular feature in the Pompey back line, featuring 33 times for ‘s side.

The 19-year-old is an academy graduate at Ipswich and has made four appearances for the .

Portsmouth’s season ended in heartbreak last month as they fell to defeat in the play off semi final against after Peter Hartley scored an injury time goal to give the Pilgrims a 3-2 aggregate lead.
