GILLINGHAM winger James Brophy admits he was in ‘disbelief’ at his John Barnes-esque second goal in last weekend’s romp at Rochdale.
Having already opened his Gills account with a superb curler in the first half, the 32-year-old produced a goal of rare beauty to score their fourth in the 4-1 away success.
Picking up the ball near the halfway line, Brophy surged forward on a slaloming run from left to right to leave defenders trailing in his wake before coolly slotting home from close range.
