Battle-hardened boss Gary Rowett has urged his Oxford United side not to become one of those teams that earn plaudits for their play – but not points.

After defeats in their opening three Championship matches, the U’s had lost just one of their next five games ahead of yesterday’s trip to Watford.
It meant they headed into the weekend outside the relegation places, albeit only on goal difference. Rowett believes there are reasons to be positive, especially if they can be a bit more clinical.
