Portsmouth manager John Mousinho saluted match-winning sensation Adrian Segecic, who scored on his debut to help Pompey claim victory in a fiercely contested encounter at Oxford.
Segecic, who boasts Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea among many top sides having trialled with, took only 38 minutes to justify the hype surrounding his arrival.
The 21-year-old followed-up sharply, after Jamie Cumming parried Colby Bishop’s attempt, as Portsmouth capitalised on a poor back-pass from Cameron Brannagan to open the scoring.
