Ademola Lookman signs new Charlton deal

midfielder Ademola Lookman has signed a new contract with the South London club.

The 18-year-old broke into the ‘ first team picture this season and made his debut for the club against in November. He has since scored four goals in thirteen appearances.

Lookman joined Charlton’s academy in 2014 after catching the eye whilst playing for amateur side Waterloo FC.

The midfielder had been subject to reported interest from a host of clubs during the January transfer window and it is not yet know whether Lookman’s new contract contract has a release clause.

Lookman told Charlton’s official club website, “It’s a great feeling to have signed. This club is very important to me and I’m very grateful for the chance Charlton have given me.

“I wanted to repay my debt because I owe something to this club. Giving myself until 2020 is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time now. I’m pleased it’s finally done.”

Charlton are currently sitting in 23rd place in the . They face at The Valley on Saturday.
