BARNSLEY have signed Nottingham Forest stopper Jordan Smith after the Tykes were forced to exercise the emergency loan rule due to a goalkeeping crisis ahead of their Accrington clash.
Smith, 23, has signed a seven-day deal with Barnsley as they were without a first-choice custodian, with Adam Davies on international duty and Jack Walton’s knee injury.
“We’re really grateful to Forest,” said chief executive Gauthier Ganaye.
