SUNDERLAND have certainly shown fighting spirit this season, but they can’t keep doing it if they want to dictate what happens in the League One promotion race.
Unlike the three previous times this season when the Black Cats have fallen behind in the league, Jack Ross’ side were unable to deliver the victory that could have actually put them top.
Sunderland have the quality in this division to win it and if they can find a way to start better then there is every chance they will, but Oxford deserve credit for how they went about things in the first half on Wears...
