Wimbledon sign Forrester on loan, end summer spending

Attacking midfielder Harry Forrester has joined on a season-long loan deal from Rangers, marking the club's eighth and final foray into the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old will wear the number 11 shirt at Kingsmeadow and assistant manager Neil Cox confirmed Forrester will be the club's final summer signing.

Forrester burst on to the scene with in 2011, before moving on to in 2013 and Rangers in 2016. His future is now resolved after he was told in June to find a new club by Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha.

Cox is excited about Forrester's potential, telling 's official website: “Harry brings a quality going forward that we need a little bit more of.

“He's a good character around the place, enthusiastic, and I think he'll be a really good player the fans will like to see.”

Forrester said: “I'm glad it's finally over the line as it's taken a bit longer than we both planned, but I'm very happy to be here and get started.

“The main thing for me is to get playing and scoring goals, and for me picking the right club was vital. The manager and his assistant have made me feel very welcome and I believe I'm at a good club.”
