Late show!

Barrage of goals at death add to drama

It might have been an international weekend, but there was still plenty of drama in the EFL – with a glut of late goals adding to the entertainment value.

Exeter lost top spot in League One as Leyton Orient’s Ruel Sotiriou netted an injury time winner against them at St James Park.

They were replaced by Stevenage, but it was a bittersweet moment for Boro as visitors Carlisle bagged a 2-2 draw with a 90th-minute Joe Garner leveller.

In League Two, Gillingham went top thanks to Shaun Williams’ injury time winner in a 1-0 success against Harrogate. Elliot Lee hit a late winner for Wrexham against Doncaster and Bradford rescued a point against Grimsby late on.
