Pete Wild has defied the odds in his football career so it’s no great surprise that he’s determined to do it all over again at Barrow.
Realising he was never going to cut it as a footballer, he started coaching at 18, did his badges and later got a job coaching in Oldham Athletic’s academy.
“It was 12 years learning my trade – Iwent from the Under-12s assistant to being firstteam manager!” he laughs.
