THE stewards trying to prevent jubilant fans running onto the pitch on Tuesday night after Fulham clinched promotion back to the Premier League now know how their opponents felt this season.
They started off determined to keep the supporters off the Craven Cottage playing surface but were quickly outnumbered, overcome and, ultimately, overwhelmed.
