ADDICKS MISSED CHANCE TO SIGN JERMAINE

JERMAINE Beckford has revealed that he was shunned by Charlton Athletic before going on to star for Leeds United.
Beckford, now 38 and a pundit for the BBC, began his career at Non-League Wealdstone and worked as an RAC repairman before being signed by the Yorkshire giants aged 23.
He would go on to score 85 goals in 152 games for Leeds, including a memorable FA Cup winner against Manchester United, before bagging a move to Everton.
