PROUD boss Lee Johnson hailed his troops after Sunderland marched into the Carabao Cup quarter-finals with a penalty shoot-out victory at QPR.
The League One side were underdogs on the turf of their second tier opponents, but gave as good as they got in a nip and tuck tie in front of more than 15,000 fans at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
The Black Cats can now look forward to a trip to the Emirates to face Arsenal in the last eight just before Christmas.
