I’M never a fan of sacking managers but I can understand why Birmingham City pulled the trigger on Aitor Karanka.
His reign has been an absolute disaster and the second-half performance in the 3-0 home defeat against Bristol City last Saturday that sealed his fate epitomised all the issues.
There was a lack of goals, a lack of creativity. When you watched Birmingham play, they worked hard off the ball.
But you had no confidence that Karanka had a clear idea of how to break the opposition down.
