BEN Godfrey wished Norwich City all the best after joining Everton on transfer deadline day in what was a record-breaking deal for the Canaries.
Norwich confirmed they had received a club-record fee – reportedly an initial £25m – for the 22-year-old defender, who moved to Goodison Park on a five-year deal. The England Under-21 international, who joined Norwich from York on his 18th birthday in 2016, tweeted after the switch: “The time has come for me to move on from Norwich, where I’ve had so many great memories!
