SAM Gallagher has been backed to “score lots of goals” for Blackburn after grabbing his first as a permanent Rovers player in last week’s derby clash with Preston North End.
The 24-year-old left Southampton for Ewood Park on a four-year contract this summer, having enjoyed a loan spell at the Championship side in 2016-17.
He scored in the disappointing Lancashire derby defeat to Preston and manager Tony Mowbray is confident it will be the first of many.
