JOHN Askey has achieved his short-term goal at Port Vale – and he’s happy to bide his time to see if he’s got a long-term future with the club.
The former Macclesfield and Shrewsbury boss arrived in early February following Neil Aspin’s resignation and was charged with preserving Vale’s Eflstatus.
