NEYMAR’S rough treatment at the hands of Strasbourg defenders miffed by his showboating is unlikely to gar ner much sympathy.
It certainly didn’t from the opposition.
“He can enjoy himself if he wants,” said Strasbourg’s Anthony Goncalves after the tearful Brazilian departed with a fractured metatarsal.
“But don’t come blubbering afterwards.”
His words echo those of former Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva, who in 2008 accused a ball-juggling Nani of “disrespect” during a clash between the Gunners and Man United.
