WOOD: I DIDN’T GO ON STRIKE

FORMER Leeds striker Chris Wood has revealed he did not refuse to play for the club against Sunderland in order to push through his £15m transfer.
In the build-up to Leeds’ clash at the Stadium of Light in August, Burnley had a bid accepted and it was initially believed the 25-year-old had pulled out of the match to complete a switch to Turf Moor.
However, the New Zealand international explained the edict came from Burnley.
