Carlisle United manager Paul Simpson has spoken of his delight after tying talented defender Jack Armer to a three-year deal. 
Armer, 22, joined the Cumbrians from home-town club Pres-ton in 2020 and has made over 100 appearances in a variety of positions across the backline.
Ever-present this term, the Scotland Under-19 international had, pre-weekend, scored two goals in 35 games as Simpson's side have launched an unexpected bid for automatic promotion to League One.
