PETE Wild saw Tranmere suffer a devastating blow in their fight for survival but insisted they deserved more than this defeat.
Bristol Rovers continued their good form under Steve Evans to claim a late winner that leaves Tranmere just a point above the drop zone.
The Pirates took the lead in the 64th minute when substitute Promise Omochere capitalised on a defensive error, driving into the box and finishing from a tight angle past Marko Marosi.
