MOVING ON: Nelson Jardim has left Newport

OUTGOING Newport County boss Nelson Jardim believes he has left strong foundations for the club to improve on the pitch.
Jardim left Rodney Parade by mutual consent on Thursday after Monday’s goalless draw with Walsall secured the club’s status in League Two.
The 46-year-old believes he can return to his native Portugal with his head held high.
His 12-month contract was due to expire at the end of the season.
