Match Preview: Notts County v Sutton United (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Notts County and Sutton United both come into Tuesday’s late kick-off at Meadow Lane in poor form, having picked up four and two points respectively in their last six games.

County have won one and drawn one of the last six, while the Us have taken two draws and four losses.

Sutton are bottom of the table after 34 games, of which they have won four and drawn 11, earning 23 points.

County are 11 places ahead of United in 13th, with 14 wins and five draws putting them on 47 points.

With 66 goals in 33 games so far this season, the home team are the league’s joint-second-highest scorers with 2.0 goals per game. But they are conceding more than average too, letting in 62 goals at a rate of 1.9 per game.

The Us, meanwhile, are below average scorers, with 1.1 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.5. They have conceded 1.9 goals per game.

The last County game Yates refereed was a 4-2 away loss to Tranmere Rovers on January 1. He is yet to oversee a match featuring Sutton this season.
