York City striker Ollie Pearce is relishing his long-awaited EFL chance at 31, believing his late switch to full-time football could help extend his career at the top.

York City striker Ollie Pearce is determined to make up for lost time – after making his EFL debut at the ripe old age of 31!
The prolific Non-League marksman only started playing full-time football two years ago when he signed for the Minstermen from then National League South outfit Worthing.
Pearce captained the newly-promoted team during last weekend’s thrilling 3-2 League Two opener against Bristol Rovers.
But the former primary school PE teacher reckons his semi-pro background could extend the longevity of a second career still in its infancy.
