The FA have been urged to take brain health seriously after being forced to apologise over a video on their FA Cup TikTok account making light of Macauley Southam-Hales’ potentially serious head injury.
The 26-year-old Stockport County right-back crashed into an advertising hoarding in a tussle with Charlton’s George Dobson in his side’s 3-1 FA Cup second round replay victory on Wednesday night.
He was taken to hospital following the incident, where CT scans showed no permanent damage despite severe head swelling.
