CLARK’S KEEN ON CARLISLE HOTSEAT

LEE Clark wants to be considered as a contender for the Carlisle job.
Close associates of the former Newcastle, Sunderland and Fulham midfielder say Clark, 48, would be interested in returning to management at Brunton Park.
Carlisle, struggling in League Two, sacked Chris Beech two weeks ago and placed Gavin Skelton in charge as caretaker manager for the second time.
Clark, who quit Sudanese side Al-Merrikh this summer after a short stint as boss, has also managed Huddersfield Town, Birmingham City, Blackpool, Kilmarnock, Bury and Blyth Spartans.
