TOM Pope’s last-gasp header maintained Port Vale’s four-game unbeaten run in League Two with a dramatic late equaliser against Notts County.
Vale led after 13 minutes when midfielder Luke Hannant guided Ben Whitfield’s left-wing cross into the top-left corner past Magpies goalkeeper Ross Fitzsimons from close range.
Kane Hemmings equalised after 22 minutes, reacting first to turn Enzio Boldewijn’s ball from the right into the bottom-left corner, with home stopper Scott Brown having no chance.
