AUSTIN LANDS COBBLERS JOB

DEAN Austin has set his sights on leading Northampton Town back to League One after being appointed manager yesterday.
The ex-Tottenham defender took caretaker charge when Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was sacked in April, but couldn’t keep the Cobblers up despite an upturn in results. However, he did enough to convince the club he was the right man for the role and has been handed a two-year contract.
