FULHAM defender Cyrus Christie says having to suffer racist abuse is a part of the game he’s just learnt to shrug off.
On Thursday, England manager Gareth Southgate refused to criticise the potential levels of abuse that players could experience at the World Cup in Russia later this year, saying such problems also exist a lot closer to home.
Christie, 25, was a target for social media trolls in November after scoring an own goal in Republic of Ireland’s World Cup qualification play-off defeat to Denmark.
