FLEETWOOD chairman Andy Pilley paid tribute to vice-president Ted Lowery, who passed away on Friday morning aged 87 after a short illness.
Lowery was a constant figure at Fleetwood for 40 years, having volunteered at the club since 1978, and had seen their rise from Non-League to achieving promotion to League One at Wembley in 2014.
Pilley said: “Ted has been an enormous part of the club for much longer than when I joined over 15 years ago.
“He’s a great character who will be sorely missed by everybody associated with Fleetwood Town Football Club.”
