GRIMSBY fans may have brought a piece of Mexico to North London, but that could not stop their side slipping to defeat at Barnet.
Mariners fans had flocked to the Hive in numbers – responding to a ban on bringing inflatables inside the stadium by hiring a Mariachi band for the occasion, and displaying a sea of sombrero hats.
But first-half goals from John Akinde and David Tutonda helped Barnet on their way, before Curtis Weston added gloss to the scoreline. Craig Disley grabbed a late consolation.
