Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson insisted Southampton defender Ronnie Edwards should have seen red for a push on Kieffer Moore at St Mary’s and called it a “game-changing” moment.
Josh Windass put Wrexham ahead from the penalty spot in their Championship opener after Moore went to ground in the 22nd minute.
But Saints took advantage of referee James Bell’s call to keep their full complement of 11 players on the field.
