Lincoln City have finally ended their yearlong pursuit of Irish left-back Josh Honohan, who will complete a £500,000 switch from Shamrock Rovers on January 1.

Lincoln City have finally ended their yearlong pursuit of Irish left-back Josh Honohan, who will complete a £500,000 switch from Shamrock Rovers on January 1.
The 24-year-old has scored ten goals in 96 appearances since joining the Irish champions from Cork in 2024, and earlier this season won his first call-up to the Republic of Ireland side.
The Imps had tracked Honohan since January and held talks over signing him in the summer, but were thwarted when Shamrock Rovers progressed to the Conference League knockout stages.
