Jon Stead has been appointed Huddersfield Town joint-manager until the end of the season after Liam Manning was granted a period of compassionate leave.

Manning, 40, joined the League One play-off chasers in January after spells in the Championship with Norwich City and Bristol City.
He took compassionate leave from the Robins in October 2024 following the death of his newborn son Theo and Huddersfield said “ongoing personal matters” are behind his current absence.
