EFL give Reading time as deal agreed

Reading have been granted yet another stay of execution by the EFL after owner Dai Yongge agreed terms over a sale.
Yongee has been disqualified as a director under the league’s owners’ and directors’ test and was initially given until April 22 to relinquish his stake in the club.
Failure to comply could potentially have resulted in the Royals being expelled.
But following significant progress in talks with an anonymous buyer -widely reported to be former Wycombe owner Rob Couhig -the EFL has now extended the deadline for Yongge to depart until May 5.
