Match Preview: Cheltenham Town v Peterborough United (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

are on a poor run ahead of hosting United at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium on Tuesday, with just three points collected from their last six games.

The have picked up just one win in their last six games, and face a Posh side whose last six games have brought four wins and two losses.

With 86 goals in 44 games so far this season, Peterborough are the league’s highest scorers with 2.0 goals per game. And they are conceding at an average rate, letting in 56 goals at a rate of 1.3 per game.

Cheltenham, meanwhile, are below average scorers, with 0.9 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.3. They have conceded 1.4 goals per game.

Town are 21st in the table after 44 games, of which they have won 11 and drawn eight, earning 41 points.

United are 17 places ahead of the Robins in fourth, with 25 wins and eight draws putting them on 83 points.

The Posh’s Harrison Burrows is among the league’s most creative players, racking up 14 assists in 44 appearances so far this season, and holding second spot in League One’s assist charts.

For the hosts, Sean Long, Will Ferry and George Lloyd have set up the most goals, having laid on three assists apiece to date.

In the last five years, Cheltenham and Peterborough have played each other on four occasions. They won two each.

On average, the Robins scored 1.5 goals and the Posh 1.5 in those matches.

Their last meeting was on September 19, when Peterborough won 3-0 at home.

Cheltenham’s last match was on Saturday, a 2-1 loss against , with Liam Sercombe getting the goal for the Robins.

Peterborough beat 2-0 last time out, also on Saturday, with Joel Randall and Ricky Jade- on the scoresheet.

Tuesday’s match will be refereed by Ben Toner, who has taken charge of 14 League One games so far this season, issuing one red card and booking 73 players. He has awarded three penalties.

The last Cheltenham game Toner refereed was a 0-0 away draw with on August 19. His last Peterborough match was their 2-0 win at home against Bristol Rovers on September 30.
