Derby boss Paul Warne says the Rams will target “pace and firepower” in the January transfer window.
Warne’s side have not struggled to find the net this term, scoring 34 times in 19 League One matches ahead of the weekend.
But the goals have been spread throughout the team with veteran striker James Collins the current top-scorer on seven.
And having been assured by owner Dave Clowes that money will be available next month, Warne believes readymade recruits in forward areas could thrust the Rams into the automatic promotion chase.
