Sheffield Wednesday star Barry Bannan has revealed that his salary was halved following the Owls’ relegation to League One last year.
Bannan, 32, earned a reputation as one of the most skilful playmakers in the Championship after joining the Owls from Crystal Palace in 2015, and was widely expected to leave when relegation loomed.
