HIRST HAS ‘A POINT TO PROVE’

PORTSMOUTH boss Danny Cowley has backed new signing George Hirst to shine at Fratton Park.
The 22-year-old striker will spend the season with Pompey on loan from Leicester.
Hirst failed to score in four Championship starts and 27 more as a substitute during a temporary spell with Rotherham last season, but Cowley is confident Portsmouth can get him firing.
“We like to sign players who have got a point to prove,”
Cowley said. “We believe we can create the chances that George needs to score goals.”
