EXIT: Southend United manager Kevin Bond

KEVIN Bond’s short reign as Southend United manager came to an end on Friday when he resigned after a disastrous start to the season.
The 62-year-old was appointed Shrimpers boss in April following the sacking of Chris Powell and kept the club in League One. Substitute Stephen Humphrys scored a dramatic late winner as Southend beat Sunderland 2-1 at Roots Hall on the last day of last season to preserve their third tier status.
