LEAGUE ONE
VETERAN Bristol Rovers midfielder Chris Lines seems to be getting better with age and he credits one thing for his longevity – vegetarianism.
Lines opted to go veggie two years ago and is reaping the benefits as he approaches his 32nd birthday this November. He is the oldest man in the current Pirates squad but has been a virtual everpresent this season.
That included playing 120 minutes in the 1-0 Carabao Cup loss to Wolves in midweek and Lines admits he has made a conscious decision to look after himself away from the field.
