Troubled Sheffield Wednesday will start next season with a 15-point deduction if David Storch’s consortium completes a £20m takeover.

Arise Capital Partners, which also includes Tom Costin and Storch’s son, Michael, was this week granted preferential bidder status by the club’s administrators.
However, their £20m offer is not large enough to meet the EFL’s requirement to pay creditors 25p in the pound.
