Former Leeds United captain Liam Cooper could be set to join Sheffield Wednesday after a partial lifting of transfer restrictions on the Championship strugglers.
The 34-year-old centre-back has been without a club since leaving Bulgarian giants CSKA Sofia in the summer.
He previously spent a decade at Elland Road, winning the Championship title in 2020 and making 284 appearances, 64 of them in the Premier League. He also won 19 caps for Scotland.
