Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri has been warned that the new football regulator “will act” to eject him if the financial situation at Hillsborough does not improve.
Players’ wages remain unpaid for September, whilst non-playing staff have received just £1,000 for their month’s work.
It is the fifth time in seven months that Chansiri -who bought the club in 2015 -has failed to pay salaries on time.
