Michael O’Neill has ruled out extending his dual management role with Blackburn Rovers and Northern Ireland.

The 56-year-old signed a short-term deal to replace Valerien Ismael at Ewood Park in February on the condition that he could take charge of Northern Ireland’s World Cup playoff against Italy in March.
Defeat in Bergamo ended any hope of going to North America this summer, and O’Neill subsequently secured Blackburn’s Championship status with a 3-1 victory over Sheffield United in midweek.
